ICAD#027: " Nature's Beauty "

It's day 27 of my personal ICAD* challenge.

Recently I let my grandchildren loose with my art supplies.(Yeah, I'm the COOL grandma ...they call me G-Ma.)

They played with stamps and ink pads mostly but thought the stencils were great, too. They were working to make postcards to send out as part of a kids' swap I found online -
Summer Mail Art Swap for Kids (and Their Adults), hosted by Amy Hood. I think this is such a cool idea, I mean we swap, why not the kids too?!

My grandson, Quadir (Quaddy) made a very cool background and gave it to me. I decided to use it in today's ICAD. Plan to frame it for him to hang in his room.

ICAD#026: "The earth laughs..."

It's day 26 of my personal ICAD* challenge. Today's card was made for my new friend, Amy VanDyke. I met Amy on the Facebook group, Art Abandonment.

" Art Abandonment is a group designed to encourage random acts of art, left in various locations around the globe. The idea is that folks can make something and leave it for a lucky unsuspecting person to find. Artists can then post locations and photos of abandoned goodies…and finders can let everyone know that they are the lucky finder! O' sweet abandon! "
                                       (Source: Facebook Group's ABOUT Page)

Coming up with design ideas and mixing it up with different techniques each day can sometimes be difficult for me. I wanted to do something I haven't done for a while. I decided to do some heat embossing this time. I even ended up with a bonus video - another Quik Clip Tip .

Here's today's ICAD -

It's day 23 of my personal ICAD* challenge. Today's card was made for my new friend Elizabeth Leite. I met Elizabeth on the Facebook group, MixedMedia Jenn & Friends, which was created by Jenn Engle.

One thing I am learning from this process is to never give up on something you are working on. Keep going or put it aside for another day. This had many "oh dang it" moments (censored) but I kept going and it turned out pretty good in the end. Not perfect by any means.

Here's is the ICAD I created for her -
