I am honored to be the featured artist this month on Community Thrive!

Community Thrive is a ning site started by the very inspiring artist, Mystele Kirkeeng. Mystele, along with her very talented sidekick, Heather Santos run one of the coolest online communities for mixed media artists.

Besides the many offerings of online classes/workshops, members can also share their work and partake in their monthly challenges and swaps. Community Thrive is just a fountain of inspiration! I am so happy I found my way there.

If you love color and mixed media art, this is the place for you. Please come join us over at Community Thrive -

#100 Day Project: Day 16

Taking part in the 100 Day Project with Elle Luna over at The Great Discontent.  We had to come up with our own hashtag to use to describe our 100 days of making - mine is #100daysofochre.

Here's a look at my Day 16:   Mixed Media Canvas (6x6)

Materials Used: Gesso, acrylic paint, oil pastels, Neo-Colors II crayons, india ink, acrylic glaze liquid, Stabilo pencil and matte medium.

Made a couple postcards in this same design which I will be sending out in the mail.

I THINK I've got this particular color combo out of my system now. I guess we'll see.

Update: I ended up making a few changes to this canvas before sending it off in a swap at Community Thrive. >>>>>>
