WINNER: What's in a Name Blog Hop!

As you all know I had a BIRTHDAY party slash blog hop - "What's in a Name" Blog Hop back on July 17th. As promised instead of receiving gifts I was going to give a gift to one lucky randomly picked party guest.

In keeping with the theme the gift I chose for the winner was a gift certificate for a custom-made stamp that she can use in her business.

** Note: If you were also looking for the Nature-Inspired Challenge -  unfortunately I never received my package from Heather so I had to bow out. Bummer!

Here's What's in MY Name - TORI SOPHIA Designs...     

   

My youngest granddaughter's name is Tori Sophia. She is the cutest "lil peanut". She is petite, with BIG round brown eyes. She is sweet when she wants to be, but she can be an absolute terror too! She has two older brothers but she is clearly in charge! She takes nothing off of them and can get rough with them if need be. She is bossy but in a really cute way. I just love her spirit!

Her name, Tori, is of Japanese origin and means BIRD. Her middle name, Sophia, is of Greek origin and it's meaning is WISDOM.

Now what is the wisest bird you know? The OWL of course.

That's how I chose my logo. Now why this particular owl? Well, it is because he is so cute and he reminded me of MY TORI SOPHIA!

UPDATE: July 18th...I guess with all the attention our lil Tori has gotten over the past 24 hours she's gotten a little BIG for her britches...

Come join my very first Blog Hop!

As we visit our favorite bloggers and artist online we come across some really "creative"  names - ever wonder why they chose THAT name? And why that color scheme, background and logo?

I am naturally inquisitive (okay, I'm nosey as heck!), so I went ahead and asked a few of them and found there were some really interesting stories to be told! Some stories were funny, some heartwarming, but all the responses have helped me to learn so much more about the artist and what makes their creativity flow. I decided this might be a good opportunity for a Blog Hop.

I'm calling it the "What's in a Name" Blog Hop.

Here's what I'm looking for  - the story behind your business or blog name, why you chose your font, color palette and logo. How did it all evolve?  Schools out so there will be NO grading on your writing skills, just want to learn more about my online friends - and that's what you are to me, friends!
